In case you’re wondering what we’re talking about here, Galentine’s Day originated from Leslie Knope in Parks and Recreation, where she created this fabulous day (February 13th) to celebrate the love of your girlfriends over brunch. As Leslie explains on the show,
“Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”
We think it’s a great way to get together with your girlfriends and observe the day to celebrate and acknowledge true appreciation you have for each other. So whether you have fun over brunch or wine, the choice is yours. Either way, you can’t possibly go wrong.
Happy Galentine’s Day!
